【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcontainsreferencetables(Tables8-23)thatgivetemperature-electromotiveforce(emf)relationshipsforTypesB,E,J,K,N,R,S,andTthermocouples.Thesearethethermocoupletypesmostcommonlyusedinindustry.1.2Alsoincludedarelistsofstandardandspecialtolerancesoninitialvaluesofemfversustemperatureforthermocouples(Table1),thermocoupleextensionwires(Table2),andcompensatingextensionwiresforthermocouples(Table3).1.3Tables4-5,includedherein,givedataoninsulationcolorcodingforthermocoupleandthermocoupleextensionwiresascustomarilyusedintheUnitedStates.1.4Recommendationsregardinguppertemperaturelimitsforthethermocoupletypesreferredtoin1.1aregiveninTable6.1.5Tables24-43givetemperature-emfdataforsingle-legthermoelementsreferencedtoplatinum(NISTPt67).ThetablesincludevaluesforTypesBP,BN,JP,JN,KP(sameasEP),KN,NP,NN,TP,andTN(sameasEN).1.6TablesforTypesRP,RN,SP,andSNthermoelementsarenotincludedsince,nominally,Tables18-21representthethermoelectricpropertiesofTypeRPandSPthermoelementsreferencedtopureplatinum.1.7PolynomialcoefficientsthatmaybeusedforcomputationofthermocoupleemfasafunctionoftemperaturearegiveninTable7.Coefficientsfortheemfofeachthermocouplepairaswellasfortheemfofindividualthermoelementsversusplatinumareincluded.1.8CoefficientsforsetsofinversepolynomialsaregiveninTable44.Thesemaybeusedforcomputingacloseapproximationoftemperature(oC)asafunctionofthermocoupleemf.Inversefunctionsareprovidedonlyforthermocouplepairsandarevalidonlyovertheemfrangesspecified.1.9Thisspecificationisintendedtodefinethethermoelectricpropertiesofmaterialsthatconformtotherelationshipspresentedinthetablesofthisstandardandbeartheletterdesignationscontainedherein.Topicssuchasorderinginformation,physicalandmechanicalproperties,workmanship,testing,andmarkingarenotaddressedinthisspecification.TheuserisreferredtospecificstandardssuchasSpecificationsE235,E574,E585,E608,E1159,orE1223,asappropriate,forguidanceintheseareas.1.10Thetemperature-emfdatainthisspecificationareintendedforindustrialandlaboratoryuse.
