【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversmortarfortherepairofmasonrythatwasconstructedwithmethodsandmaterialsthatpre-datetheoriginationofcurrentstandardsofconstructionthatarecompatiblewithit.Themortarmaybeusedfornon-structuralpurposessuchasrepointingofthemasonry,orforstructuralpurposessuchas,butnotrestrictedto,re-constructionorrepairofmortarjointsthatcontributetothestructuralintegrityofthemasonry.1.2Masonryincludesthefollowingunitslaidinmortar:(1)caststone,(2)claymasonryunitsbrickandclaytile,(3)concretemasonryunits,(4)naturalstone,and(5)terracotta.1.3Thisspecificationmaybeusedtopre-qualifymortarforaproject.1.4Mortarstestedusingthisspecificationarelaboratory-preparedmortarsanddonotrepresentin-place,sitemortars.1.5Useofthisspecificationshouldbebasedonathoroughunderstandingofthefunction,maintenance,andrepairrequirementsforthepreservationandcontinuedperformanceofthemasonryinthecontextofthebuildingstructureandlong-termperformance.Theuserofthisspecificationisresponsibleforexaminingallcriteriaandselectingtheappropriatemortarformulationandpropertiesrequired.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
