【摘要】:Differentialscanningcalorimetryprovidesarapidmethodfordeterminingthetransformationtemperature(s)ofnickel-titaniumshapememoryalloys.Thistestmethodusessmall,stress-free,annealedsamplestodeterminewhetherasampleofnickel-titaniumalloycontainingnominally54.5to56.5%nickelbyweightisausteniticormartensiticataparticulartemperature.Sincechemicalanalysisofthesealloysdoesnothavesufficientprecisiontodeterminethetransformationtemperaturebymeasuringthenickeltotitaniumratioofthealloy,directmeasurementofthetransformationtemperatureofanannealedsampleofknownthermalhistoryisrecommended.Thistestmethodisusefulforqualitycontrol,specificationacceptance,andresearch.Transformationtemperaturesderivedfromdifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)maynotagreewiththoseobtainedbyothertestmethodsduetotheeffectsofstrainandloadonthetransformation.1.1Thistestmethoddefinesproceduresfordeterminingthetransformationtemperaturesofnickel-titaniumshapememoryalloys.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
